Real Madrid’s dreams were broken when Pep and his men defeated them at their home soil, where they are thought to be the most dangerous team, 2-1. Manchester City were without their star striker Sergio Aguero and Madrid saw their captain sent-off in the 86th minute.

Madrid thought they had the first leg in their pocked when Isco opened the scoring for them early on in the second half but goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne shook them to the core.

But luckily, there will be no fans for City and Madrid will be played at empty Etihad Stadium, let’s see if they’ll be able to capitalize on the closed doors game advantage.

Possible Line-ups

Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Fernandinho, Laporte, João Cancelo; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gündoğan; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling

Sergio Aguero will not be able to make it to the important fixture while Mendy is also out due to suspension. City will be relying a lot on Jesus in Aguero’s absence.

Real Madrid: Courtois; Carvajal, Varane, Éder Militão, Mendy; Casemiro, Kroos; Modrić, Hazard, Vinícius Júnior; Benzema

Sergio Ramos will be out of one of the most important fixtures for Real Madrid, but luckily he was able to guide Madrid to the La Liga victory. Mariano Diaz is also out and Marcelo is doubtful for the fixture.

Conclusion: Keeping in mind the current form of both teams it is not easy to predict a winner and especially when no team will have the home advantage because of empty stadiums. Both teams are missing some big names but the only difference we see here is of managers. Pep Guardiola is fearless at the moment after he lost the Premier League title to Liverpool so he’ll be showing no marcy. So it’ll be a draw or City taking it home.
